Comunicato di V. I. MATVIENKO, la 3° carica in ordine di importanza della Russia (il primo è il Presidente Putin) ai partecipanti ed organizzatori del 52° Congresso IFLA di San Pietroburgo, che afferma l'intenzione di continuare, oltre l'evento culturale, il supporto a livello internazionale della disciplina dell'Architettura del Paesaggio.

To the participants and organizers of the 52nd World Congress of the International Federation of landscape architects (IFLA)
Pleased to welcome all the participants, organizers and guests of the 52nd World Congress of the International Federation of landscape architects (IFLA), one of the largest international events of the Northern capital in 2015!
An event of this level in the field of landscape architecture held in Russia for the first time and is of great importance for St. Petersburg - the city that was selected for the Congress. Its participants will be the most influential and famous landscape architects from 74 countries of the world. The decision to hold the Congress in St. Petersburg was made by the International Federation of landscape architects (IFLA) unanimously.
At the present time St. Petersburg has extensive experience of carrying out of festival of landscape art "Imperial gardens of Russia", which has become an outstanding annual event in the Northern capital.
I believe that an international experience, innovative strategies and methods, which will be discussed within the framework of interaction of participants of the Congress can be implemented in the urban development of St. Petersburg, the field of landscaping and gardening, landscape architecture, ecology, improving the quality of urban environment, preservation of cultural heritage of the Northern capital. I hope that the Congress will be not only a cultural event of global scale, but will continue to contribute to the strengthening of the international authority of Russia. I wish all the participants fruitful work!
